Continuing a culture where each person is at the center of everything we do at Echeverría Izquierdo Montajes Industriales S.A. (EIMISA) helps promote well-being, value diversity, and cultivate an environment where everyone can grow and contribute.
In that spirit, the webinar “At EIMISA, we value life” was held, a space for conversation led by Hans Sandoval, safety manager, Darío Barros, general manager, and Alberto Fuentes, operations manager, who reflected on the pillars that support the company’s commitment: leadership, well-being, governance, and continuous learning.
“Culture is the tendency to do the right thing, in the right way, even when no one is watching,” said Darío Barros, emphasizing that safety must be a shared conviction. “Our greatest asset is our people. Taking care of them is not an obligation, it is a responsibility that we assume every day,” he added.
During the meeting, executives addressed the challenges of maintaining operational excellence without losing sight of overall well-being.
“Safety is built by planning and taking responsibility, not by improvising,” said Alberto Fuentes, who stressed the importance of empowering teams to stop a task if there is a risk. «Each person must feel they have the authority and duty to take care of their own life and the lives of others. That is true leadership.»
For his part, Hans Sandoval highlighted the progress of the Comprehensive Health Program, which promotes healthy habits and connects risk prevention with physical and mental well-being.
“Safety is also well-being. Every improvement in health, rest, or nutrition has a direct impact on operational safety,” he said.
The event provided an opportunity to review best practices such as the presence of rescue workers at all construction sites, the standardization of processes, and the incorporation of technologies that reduce exposure to risks.
“Every innovation we incorporate seeks to eliminate or reduce hazards before they arise. In this way, we continue to build the future with safety and knowledge,” emphasized Alberto Fuentes.
In his closing remarks, EIMISA’s general manager reinforced the company’s guiding principle:
“We want everyone who is part of EIMISA to feel that they are part of something bigger, and to always return home safe and sound. That is, and will continue to be, our greatest achievement.”
This event reaffirms that at EIMISA, safety is lived, shared, and learned every day.
